Our History

Andrew Bramley Ltd was formed in 2002. Since then a vastly experienced team with over 100 years’ collective experience has come together evolving into a business that puts client needs and customer service to the fore.

Andrew started as a trainee lawyer for Berryman’s in Nottingham in the mid-1980s and worked briefly in conveyancing before joining Commercial Union in 1988. He then moved on to a firm of independent financial advisers, becoming a partner in 1993.  A spell with John Charcol Ltd in London followed before a return to the East Midlands to set up Andrew Bramley Limited in 2002.

“I wanted to do it differently,” he says, summing up the company ethos. “None of this impersonal ‘you’re fourth in line, please hold’ stuff or emails going out from ‘Customer Service Team Member’. We have names, we’re individuals and we’ll look after you. It’s personal, and we want to keep it personal. We’re looking to build long-term relationships with our clients.”

Working alongside Andrew is Sara Gibson, Office Manager, who joined in 1999. Sara’s industry experience stretches back to 1990. Sue Knowles joined in 2007, and Allister Black – whose background includes lengthy stints with Lloyds and Prudential – joined the business in 2013. That adds up to over 100 years of industry experience.

In talking to Andrew Bramley Limited, clients will speak to an experienced person, a real person – someone who cares.
